This is where I want to be right now. It's 1:53 AM as I write this and I am very aware I'm lagging behind on the daily post promise. Let me just say that my homework is has kept me in custody all night. Seriously, I am super-mega-ultra-SWAMPED-to-the-extreme.
In honor of all much homework I have done tonight and to complete my History of Jazz assignment, I have composed a blues lyrics. What is a blues line? Blues is a form of music that involves 12 measures (or bars) that utilizes the blues scale. Lyrically, blues form entitles that you have a form of statement, statement, commentary. The 1st two lines should be similar while the 3rd line is a response to close the statement.
The first two lines are "I don't need no doctor, cuz I know what's ailing me. I don't need no doctor, cuz I know what's ailing me." Then the 3rd line completes the lyric, "I've been too long away from my baby, yeah. I'm coming down with the misery." Pretty easy to understand and sadly I'm not as talented at song writing as John Mayer or Ray Charles (who actually wrote the song, JM has made a wonderful cover of it) but this is my attempt at my homework inspired blues:

What do you think? I bet with a funky bass line and a jazz-tasmic guitar line it could be a hit.

SO yeah, these are getting pretty interesting. This is only the first batch too. We have all week to submit and contribute to the forum. But as of right now, I want to contribute to my sleeping cycle.
