And so it begins...again. The start of my spring semester 2011. First off, let me say that waking up at 8 AM to get ready for class is far more luxurious and amazing than having to wake up at the butt crack of dawn for a 7:30 AM class. It is comforting to know that the sun will be up before I am. Hmm, that previous sentence makes me think of this music video. Pardon the random tangent. Back to our regularly scheduled blog post...You know what I take that back; I promise you after watching that video you have the urge to fist pump... All I have to say is you are welcome :)
Anyways, my first day wasn't too bad. I start off my day with a healthy dose of organic chemistry. I personally rather have cereal instead but I'm going to stay positive. New semester, fresh start, right? My teacher is interesting though. He reminds me of Igor from Frankenstein with his short stature and blunt demeanor. His Russian accent helps fit that image too. But he does give bonus points like crazy so who am I to judge or complain? After ochem, I head to microbiology. It has me intrigued. Biology is definitely my thing. Life fascinates me. My teacher started off lecture by showing us examples of the importance of microbes in our world. The famous microbiologist Louis Pasteur once said "The importance of the infinitely small is infinitely large in our world." I think I am about to learn really how much infinitely large is. My last class of the day is History of Jazz. This is basically my quote unquote "fun class." I mean the other class are fun, but History of Jazz is fun in a way that don't have to drill knowledge in my head. The majority of the class is analytical listening. Identifying styles, instruments, themes, etc. My inner band geek is jumping with joy. And plus, my instructor is a badass. He literally told us their is no textbook for his class because he rather us spend $85 dollars on downloading music than on a trivial textbook. In that classroom, the music is sacred. Listening to him makes me believe that too.
That concludes my first day of school. Tomorrow, I start my ochem, micro labs, and english so we will see how that goes.

P.S. I received a special request from a reader and new friend of mine. Her name is Laura and she is a mentor with me. Apparently, I failed to mention how awesome a bus buddy she was on the way to the retreat. At least, that is what she told me to say. So I am here to correct my mistake :) ha. Laura, props to you for being awesome! I am here to please the readers, forever and always. We will see if she reads this anyways.
