Day 69 - 8/25/10

It's 11:36 PM CST so let's have a quick recap.

I. Tonight, LSU had it's annual late night movie on the Parade Grounds. The feature film: Iron Man 2. This is the second time I have seen this movie and it still remains timeless in my mind. It is a very good quality film with superb special effects. The first I saw it was the midnight premiere in theaters along with all my Iron Man obsessed pals who made their own costumes. Thus, it was a night of good fun which included my very own confrontation with Iron Man...or at least a very good recreation. Overall, watching Iron Man 2 again and just chilling with my friends was a pretty swell way to spend my night. The sweet late night breeze does not hurt either.

2. Tonight was the first night of chapel at the Wesley Foundation on LSU's campus. Last year, I always seemed reluctant to go but the more I went, the more it grew on me. Wednesday nights have been reserved for the Wesley while I am on campus. Although, it is primarily a Methodist-based service, that does not concern me. I learned to see the Wesley as a community. A community of my friends (no matter what religious affiliation they are) who focus on letting God in their hearts and spreading his grace and glory. It is a safe place for me to reflect on the things in my heart I want to give to God and to find answers in his grace.

3. A couple weeks ago I ran across this blog of note called In Review: Stuff and Things. It is written by a swell dude name Charles. He pretty much reviews random things from books to movies to toilet paper. But he does it in his own uniquely witty and sarcastic way. It is pure comic genius. He has become a daily read for me and I dream that one day I can achieve the following he has. Recently, he added me to his link exchange noting my blog as a blog to checked out, saying My Life: A 365 Project is a "photo a day, with very interesting commentary as well." I am very humbled to recognized by someone who I feel is superior in the blogging community. Thanks Charles. You rock man!

The day is slowly coming to end as I finishing typing this paragraph, I look back and say it was a great day. There is plenty to do tomorrow as Thursday is my busy day. And hopefully there will be plenty more to talk about.
