TGIF. Phew, it's been a looooong week. There's nothing better than easing into the weekend than kickin' back on the balcony with the guitar and just playing a concert for whoever. I've built up this reputation with the neighbors for being the guy who just sits on the balcony and just plays. I've gotten plenty of waves and horn honks lately; whether that means I'm doing a good job or to go back inside is all the mystery. I want to say it isn't the latter. Seriously though, I started my journey into guitar about 2 years ago. The guitar I originally had all the strings broken and I decided I wanted to get the strings replaced and give it a try. Therefore, I bought some strings only to realize that my guitar was nylon strings only when I asked my friend to replace them. In the end, we made a deal: I would take another guitar he had on hand while he replaced the strings. I've kept his guitar ever since. Part of me imagines that he was just too lazy to even bother with it, after all it was a piece of crap. This might had been the best decision I ever made. I'm madly in love with this thing. I am pretty much self-taught and determined. Ultimate Guitar has been my teacher and headquarters of my guitar growth. Any and all tabs I get from there. Hopefully, I will get to learn more of the musical theory of guitar in the same way I know saxophone but playing guitar has taught me a lot about listening and playing by ear. Currently, I just got "Billionaire" by Travie McCoy ft. Bruno Mars under my fingers. The blisters are the proof. All I need is someone to rap with me.
