Sometimes reality ends up better than my dreams. This is one of those cases. Quick recap first. Today I finally got around to helping my friend Cody replace his guitar strings on his guitar. I don't remember how many months ago it was when I first snapped that bottom high E string. It's quite the little pest (try open C tuning). So, we took a trip to Red River Music, Alexandria's fine local music store. This store has been supplying me with all my musical goods ever since I started my journey with music. From saxophone equipment to pianos to guitars, I somehow find everything I need. I consider it a little hidden gem that doesn't get the exposure or business it deserves. But, one of my favorite things of the whole store is the acoustic guitar room. It may not be the Guitar Center in Baton Rouge, but for a small town, it has a lot going for it. I'm due for a new guitar pretty soon, maybe electric. There's a pretty blue stratocaster that has been in my mind lately. Maybe one of you readers will be generous. :)

P.S. Congratulations on my little brother's All-Star baseball team. They won the district tournament and went undefeated. Next stop is Sulfur, LA for the state tournament.
