Day 255 - 2/26/11

As part of my visit back home, I spent the day at St. Francis Cabrini Church volunteering to help at the In Your Cute Face youth conference. In Your Face is a yearly youth conference in which catholic youth are involved in listening to guest speakers, priests, and christian musicians about the glory and grace of God. It is a day spent with fun activities, powerful sermons, and energetic praise and worship. This conference was special because it was the first of its kind for the elementary school age of children K-12, hence the word Cute in the title. It was really awesome to see how many young kids there were. All the churches have started elementary youth groups and I really didn't realize how many different churches there were in attendance. The sooner these children are exposed to the grace of God, the better I think. I am glad I got to spend my time helping out today.
