This my friends is one happy Packers fan. My is my friend Phil representing the good blue collar state of Wisconsin and the Green Bay Packers, Super Bowl XLV champions. Obviously, as I predicted last night the Packers won. Although the game came down to the wire, Green Bay did everything it could to hang on including a game-sealing 4th down stop. Aaron Rodger performed brilliantly and was awarded Super Bowl MVP. The days of the ole gun slinger Brett Favre are now ancient history. Rodgers is now the King of the cheese making capital of the U.S.
But now, football is over. Until next season, and I'm not entirely sure if there will be a next season. NFL and NFLPA (the players' union) are in the process of working on a new collective bargaining agreement. Without this agreement, the NFL will face a lockout and possibly NO football next season. That would be a travesty. As a fan, I honestly don't care what needs to be said, done, promised, or fulfilled in order to please both sides. All I care about is that I get to root for the Falcons next season. So Roger Goodell...let's get this done.
Until then, it is now time to focus my attention on the wonderful game of College Basketball. It's almost March baby!
