Oct. 3 2009 - Charles Scott vs. Georgia

Oct. 31 1959 - Halloween Run

Oct. 20 2007 - You can't see me

Oct. 8 1988 - Earthquake Game

Let us add tonight to the list. I would like to name this LSU moment as the Rocky Top Recovery. Honestly, I can say I have witnessed my first miracle in Tiger Stadium. I laughed. I cried. I yelled. I was delirious. And somewhere all the sheer chaos of the last play of the game in regulated time, I might have had a heart attack.

Here was the situation: LSU is down 4 points in a 10-14 game to Tennessee with less than a minute left to go. The entire tiger offense was atrocious with our coach playing an offensive strategy I have dubbed the "quarterback carousel." Every possession we had either Jordan Jefferson or Jarrett Lee running the offense and man, did it drive me crazy!! We seriously need to stick with one guy because it kills offensive momentum. So in the midst of all the chaos of a two minute offense that has been able to complete a decent pass all game, we got within the red zone. Option run to the right with QB Jordan Jefferson and he's down on the 2-yd line. Spike the ball. You have 8 seconds left. Spike the ball dammit! What the hell? Why are you changing personnel??? Spike the freaking ball! The ball is finally hiked to a Jordan Jefferson who was not expecting it. Oh. My. God. We. Lost. Seriously, I want to burn my jersey right now....Oh wait, there is a flag on the field?? What's the penalty for? Against the defense?!? What!!! On the last play of the game, apparently there were 14 defenders on the field. And the LSU center noticed it so he spiked the ball anyways as a last desperate brilliant move of football awareness. As a result we were given another chance to score with :00 seconds on the game clock. One play. One chance. One moment that will forever be engraved in LSU football lore...

Jefferson takes the snap and pitches the ball to Ridley. Run to the left side. Ridley is in the endzone!!! Tigers win!!! Tigers win!!!

And in that moment I experienced euphoria that I could had never imagined. It's was the biggest roller coaster of my life. LSU wins aren't always pretty, but wow do we put on a show. I'm still delirious and at a loss of words even though it doesn't seem like it.
