Day 131 - 10/26/10

I thought this was the neatest thing today. At dinner, I was in the mood for a chicken sandwich (yes, I enjoy the simple things) and the lady who made it wrote LSU on it in honey mustard. I know that sounds really lame but I like to think of myself as very spirited person when it comes to my school. I am not annoyingly spirited like a overly peppy cheerleader on illegal gateway drugs would be but I'm spirited enough to scream at the top of my lungs at euphoric highs and piss and moan at upsetting lows. I believe a life without passion is a boring life. Most likely, my blog posts have proven that to you though.

So tonight was an awesome night of sports. It is the opening night of the NBA season and there are plenty of stories to talk about one game in. Miami lost to Boston. The Miami Thrice (Bosh, Wade, and James) didn't have enough to beat the Celtics. I guess what I learned is that the Heat may have the talent but the Celtics have the system. "Taking your talents to South Beach" won't you any good if you don't have a means of creating offensive tempo. The Heat on every possession looked like they were playing streetball. I'll just out dribble you and force my way to the basketball - style. That kind of bothers me. This team is already considered the champion on paper but the lack of an interior post game is hard to overlook. You build offensive tempo from the inside out, unless you learn how to hit the outside jump shot. The Heat aren't there yet. Maybe 3 months from maybe...I just hope Miami fans haven't rioted by that point.

One last note...I have found that I enjoy talking about sports. Maybe I should start a sports blog? Hmmm, maybe that could be my next project after this one? Hmmm...possibilities.
