Day 102 - 9/27/10

Welcome to Campus Lake. Now, why are we here? You see...we performed field study in my Biology lab today. Don't get too excited. Field study in this case is actually walking to the lake and collecting water samples. No bear hunts, no booby traps, none of that Man vs. Wild type stuff. I just collected lake water in some bottles. Exciting, huh? There were some positives though. Today finally felt like autumn. There was a 55% humidity. In Louisiana? No way. I hope the weather stays consistent. Also, seeing the lake again has reminded of all the lake conspiracies I have heard via the LSU Ambassadors. Apparently this lake has been drained before years back and its contents were AK-47s and DEAD BODIES!!! I am not joking. But then again, I'm kinda not surprised. This kind of reminds me of the Best of Craig's list ad I came across where this guy advertised his backyard as a body dumping ground. Regardless, there is some pretty wookie stuff in that water. Some of the water got splashed on my hand while I was transporting samples. Let's hope I don't grow a sixth digit on my hand due some toxic mutation.
